8 curious minds, 8 fearless futures thinkers each working in different countries. All of us professionals in the design and lifestyle field, with a huge amount of experience.
All of us looking at the field from, slightly different angles; design, material innovations, colours, societal phenomena, cultural aspects, sustainability, retail, values, consumer behaviour and much more.
Some of our paths have been crossing over the years personally at international design fairs or online following inspirational professionals. Globally known Stefan “Trendstefan” Nilsson is one of Sweden`s and Scandinavia´s most influential trend experts. He is the primus motor of our group. Stefan likes to share and to connect. He had this unique idea.
The Forecast Club started with Stefan’s idea to gather 6 of us online sharing one meaningful trend from each one of us online. Just us. We had a couple of hours sharing, discussing and learning from each other. Discussing what was common and what was different as all of us work in different cultures with a different point of view.
Then we did it again, with 7 of us, then 8. The sessions felt so important and gave us so much joy, fuel and insight that we started to think that this concept needs to grow. We share all of this to anyone interested, who might benefit from it.
